The Kootenay Ice commit to 11 players following Spring Camp

Trail, BC, April 16, 2019 – BC Hockey’s Kootenay Ice Major Midget team held their Spring Camp this past weekend.
35 skaters and 6 goalies had the chance to showcase their skills over the course of two days. These young men saw a
lot of ice with three games and one practice session. The evaluators were excited with the level of talent.

Players committed to include:
Gavin Damstrom
Joe Davidson
Austin McKenzie
Tenzin Mint
Leith Olafson
Kjell Osborne
Kaleb Percival
Noah Quinn
Jacob Smith
Ethan Smyth
Anthony Williams

General Manager, Les Cleverly and coaching staff will be scouting at BC Hockey’s Prospect Camp before hosting main
camp in August. The 2019/20 season will again see the members of the Kootenay Ice given the opportunity to hone
their skills on the ice and in the gym, during the school day. The major midget leagues were put in place to “provide an
opportunity for elite hockey players to come together on zone teams” and the goal of J.L. Crowe’s Hockey Program is to
draw elite players by providing a cost-effective program that challenges hockey players to be the best that they can be
both on and off of the ice.
